Raiden Training

Training Course Terms and Conditions

Version: 1.0 · Effective date: 1 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all training courses, workshops and educational events provided by Raiden Training, including training delivered at Raiden Skin & Laser Clinic, 64 Claughton Street, St Helens, WA10 1SN, or at any other venue notified to delegates.

By booking a course, paying a deposit or course fee, or accepting a place on a Raiden Training course, the delegate and/or the organisation making the booking agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Bookings

1.1.A place on a Raiden Training course is not guaranteed until the required booking deposit or full course fee has been received and the booking has been confirmed by Raiden Training.

1.2.Places are subject to availability and may be offered on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.

1.3.The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all information provided to Raiden Training is accurate.

1.4.Where an employer, company, NHS organisation or other third party books or pays for a delegate, the organisation making the booking will be responsible for payment of all sums due unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Booking Deposit

2.1.Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, a £100 deposit per delegate is required to secure a course place.

2.2.The booking deposit forms part of the total course fee and will be deducted from the outstanding balance.

2.3.Once the applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, the booking deposit is non-refundable where the delegate chooses to cancel their booking, subject always to applicable consumer law.

2.4.The deposit reflects the administrative costs involved in processing the booking and reserving a limited training place.

2.5.The deposit will not normally be refunded because a delegate subsequently becomes unable to attend. However, Raiden Training may, at its discretion, allow the deposit and other payments to be transferred to an alternative training date in accordance with section 6.

2.6.If Raiden Training cancels a course and cannot provide a suitable alternative, the deposit and any other course fees paid will be refunded in full.

2.7.Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any statutory right to a refund that a consumer may have.

3. Course Fees and Payment

3.1.The total course fee will be stated on the course information, booking form, invoice or other written confirmation provided by Raiden Training.

3.2.Unless otherwise specified, the outstanding balance must be paid by the payment deadline shown on the booking confirmation or invoice.

3.3.Where a booking is made after the stated balance payment deadline, Raiden Training may require payment of the full course fee at the time of booking.

3.4.If the balance is not received by the stated deadline, Raiden Training reserves the right to:

  • withdraw the delegate’s place;
  • offer the place to another delegate; and
  • retain the booking deposit, subject to applicable consumer law.

3.5.A certificate of attendance or completion may be withheld where course fees remain outstanding.

4. Consumer Cancellation Rights

4.1.Where a delegate is booking as a consumer and enters into the contract online, by telephone or by another distance-selling method, they may have a statutory right to cancel the booking within 14 days of entering into the contract.

4.2.Where the statutory right to cancel applies and is exercised within the relevant cancellation period, Raiden Training will provide any refund required by law, including the deposit where applicable.

4.3.If a delegate specifically asks Raiden Training to begin providing services during the statutory cancellation period, the delegate may be required to pay for services already supplied if they subsequently cancel.

4.4.Where the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following the delegate’s express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may be lost where permitted by law.

4.5.This section does not apply to a business booking where statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply.

5. Cancellation by a Delegate

After any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, the following cancellation provisions will normally apply.

More than 28 days before the course: Any course fees paid will normally be refunded less the £100 non-refundable deposit.

15–28 days before the course: Raiden Training reserves the right to retain or charge up to 50% of the total course fee.

14 days or fewer before the course: The full course fee may become payable and payments already made may be retained.

Failure to attend / no-show: No refund will normally be provided and the full course fee will remain payable.

Any cancellation charge will be applied only to the extent permitted by law and is intended to reflect the costs and losses reasonably incurred by Raiden Training as a result of the cancellation.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing.

6. Rescheduling and Transfers

Raiden Training recognises that circumstances can change and will, wherever reasonably possible, try to accommodate requests to move a booking.

6.1.A delegate requesting a change more than 14 days before the course may normally transfer their booking once to another available Raiden Training date without losing the fees already paid.

6.2.The original deposit remains non-refundable but will be transferred to the replacement course date.

6.3.Requests received within 14 days of the course will be considered on an individual basis and cannot be guaranteed.

6.4.Any difference in course price between the original course and the replacement course will be payable by the delegate.

6.5.A booking may normally only be transferred once unless Raiden Training agrees otherwise in writing.

6.6.If a delegate does not attend a rearranged course without providing further notice, the booking will normally be treated as a no-show and no refund will be payable.

6.7.Raiden Training may permit a substitute delegate to attend in place of the original delegate, provided the replacement delegate meets all applicable course entry requirements and Raiden Training is informed in advance.

7. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Raiden Training

7.1.Raiden Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule a course where reasonably necessary, including circumstances involving:

  • trainer illness or unavailability;
  • insufficient delegate numbers;
  • equipment failure;
  • venue problems;
  • safety concerns;
  • circumstances outside Raiden Training’s reasonable control.

7.2.Where a course is rescheduled, delegates will normally be offered a place on the replacement date.

7.3.If Raiden Training cancels a course and an appropriate replacement cannot be agreed, all course fees paid for that course, including the deposit, will be refunded.

7.4.Raiden Training will endeavour to provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

7.5.Delegates are advised not to make non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements unless necessary. To the extent permitted by law, Raiden Training will not normally be responsible for consequential expenses such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings arising from cancellation or rescheduling.

8. Course Content and Faculty

8.1.Raiden Training aims to deliver courses substantially in accordance with the advertised programme.

8.2.Raiden Training may make reasonable changes to:

  • course content;
  • timetables;
  • teaching arrangements;
  • equipment;
  • practical sessions;
  • speakers or faculty members; or
  • venue arrangements,

where this is necessary to maintain the quality, safety or effective delivery of the course.

8.3.The unavailability of a particular speaker or faculty member will not automatically constitute cancellation of the course where Raiden Training can provide an appropriately qualified alternative.

9. Entry Requirements and Delegate Responsibilities

9.1.Delegates are responsible for ensuring that they meet any professional, clinical, educational or experience requirements stated for the relevant course.

9.2.Where requested, delegates must provide evidence of professional registration, qualifications, insurance, employment or other prerequisites before participating in clinical or practical training.

9.3.Raiden Training may restrict participation in particular practical activities according to a delegate’s qualifications, experience, professional registration or scope of practice.

9.4.Attendance on a Raiden Training course does not itself authorise a delegate to undertake treatments outside their lawful or professional scope of practice.

9.5.Delegates remain responsible for determining whether they are appropriately qualified, trained, registered and insured to undertake any procedure following the course.

10. Practical and Laser Training

Where a course includes practical clinical or laser training:

10.1.Delegates must comply with all instructions provided by Raiden Training faculty and staff.

10.2.Delegates must comply with applicable health and safety procedures, laser safety procedures, infection prevention measures and requirements relating to personal protective equipment.

10.3.Delegates must not operate equipment or undertake a clinical procedure unless authorised and appropriately supervised by the course faculty.

10.4.Raiden Training may prevent or stop a delegate from participating in a practical activity where there is a reasonable concern regarding:

  • patient or model safety;
  • delegate safety;
  • competence;
  • inappropriate behaviour;
  • failure to follow instructions; or
  • failure to comply with safety procedures.

10.5.Removal from a practical activity on legitimate safety grounds will not automatically entitle the delegate to a refund.

11. Attendance and Certification

11.1.Delegates are expected to attend the full course unless otherwise agreed.

11.2.Certificates of attendance or completion will only be issued where the relevant attendance and course requirements have been met.

11.3.A certificate confirms attendance or completion of the specified Raiden Training programme. It does not, by itself:

  • confer professional registration;
  • provide a licence to practise;
  • amend a delegate’s professional scope of practice;
  • guarantee competence to practise independently; or
  • provide professional indemnity or other insurance cover.

11.4.Delegates are responsible for confirming any requirements imposed by their employer, professional body, regulator or insurer before undertaking procedures independently.

12. Conduct

Raiden Training expects delegates to behave professionally and respectfully.

Raiden Training reserves the right to remove a delegate from a course where their behaviour:

  • creates a safety risk;
  • is abusive, threatening or discriminatory;
  • significantly disrupts the training;
  • breaches patient, model or delegate confidentiality;
  • involves deliberate misuse of equipment; or
  • otherwise amounts to serious misconduct.

Where removal results from the delegate’s serious misconduct, no refund will normally be provided.

13. Clinical Models and Patients

Where clinical models or patients participate in training:

13.1.Their dignity, privacy, consent and safety must be respected at all times.

13.2.No delegate may photograph, video, record or publish information relating to a patient or model without the appropriate prior permission.

13.3.Information obtained during a clinical teaching session must be treated confidentially.

13.4.Raiden Training may change or withdraw a planned practical case where this is necessary for clinical, ethical or safety reasons.

14. Photography and Recording

14.1.Delegates must not make audio recordings, video recordings or reproduce teaching presentations without prior permission from Raiden Training.

14.2.Raiden Training may occasionally take photographs or recordings during courses for educational or promotional purposes.

14.3.Where an identifiable delegate is to feature in promotional material, appropriate consent will be obtained.

14.4.Delegates may decline to participate in promotional photography or filming.

15. Training Materials and Intellectual Property

15.1.Course manuals, presentations, photographs, videos, diagrams, protocols, worksheets and other teaching materials provided by Raiden Training remain the intellectual property of Raiden Training and/or the relevant author unless otherwise stated.

15.2.Materials are supplied for the delegate’s personal educational and professional reference.

15.3.Unless prior written permission has been obtained, course materials must not be:

  • reproduced;
  • sold;
  • uploaded to another website or learning platform;
  • distributed to third parties;
  • used to provide another training course; or
  • commercially exploited.

16. Educational Nature of Training

16.1.Training is provided for educational and professional development purposes.

16.2.Raiden Training will use reasonable care and skill in delivering its courses.

16.3.Clinical techniques and technologies develop over time. Delegates remain responsible for keeping their knowledge and skills current and complying with applicable professional standards, manufacturer’s instructions, local policies and legal requirements.

16.4.Completion of a course does not constitute a guarantee of future professional, clinical or commercial success.

17. Liability

17.1.Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

17.2.Subject to applicable law, Raiden Training will not be responsible for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.

17.3.Where a booking is made wholly for business purposes, Raiden Training will not be liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue or other indirect commercial losses except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17.4.Delegates remain responsible for their own professional decisions and for ensuring that they have appropriate qualifications, registration, supervision and insurance when applying knowledge or techniques learned during training.

18. Personal Property

Delegates remain responsible for personal property brought to a training venue. Raiden Training accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings except where caused by Raiden Training’s negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Data Protection

Raiden Training will process personal information provided in connection with bookings, course administration, certification and communications in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and its Privacy Notice.

Information may be retained where reasonably necessary for training records, certification, regulatory, accounting or legal purposes.

20. Complaints

Raiden Training aims to resolve concerns promptly and fairly.

Any complaint relating to a course should be submitted in writing to Raiden Training with sufficient details to allow the matter to be investigated.

Delegates are encouraged to raise concerns as soon as reasonably possible so that Raiden Training has an opportunity to address them.

21. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Raiden Training will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside its reasonable control.

These may include severe weather, transport disruption, utility failure, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic restrictions, government action, venue closure, serious equipment failure or unexpected faculty illness.

Where reasonably possible, Raiden Training will seek to rearrange affected training rather than cancel it.

22. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or override any rights a delegate has under applicable consumer protection law.

If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory statutory right, that statutory right will take precedence.

23. Changes to These Terms

Raiden Training may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The terms applicable to a particular booking will normally be those supplied or made available to the delegate when the booking was confirmed, unless a change is required by law or is agreed with the delegate.

24. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory rights a consumer may have to bring proceedings in the jurisdiction in which they are entitled by law to do so.

Booking Acceptance

By paying the booking deposit or full course fee, the delegate confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
